About

My name is Serena Essuman. I am a mom of 4 children and I currently live in Utah. I was born in Italy where I lived for most of my life, and then moved with my family to the Canary Islands (Spain) where I lived during my High School years.

I went to Brigham Young University where I studied Spanish with a minor in Italian. That’s where I met my husband. David graduated in 2011 with a Bachelor in Psychology.

My husband and I believe in doing what you love, and not let any boundaries get in the way. Hence why my husband decided to become a Real Estate Broker. He loves working with clients and homes.I also have a Real Estate License and a Mortgage License. I recently started studying Interior Design and I am a licensed Fitness Instructor.

Other things that we love are restaurants, so in 2018 we opened up one of our own Crumbl Cookie bakeries. We have since moved on to one of our other passions: the beauty industry. Hence why we have become owners of a Haircut Salon for children. Most currently we are working on inching our way into the medical field.

I believe in using your time to be creative no matter what you are doing, and in doing things always at your best no matter what it is. I love being organized and clean. I also love to raise my children and I love to be an old fashioned housewife. We strive to be a bit minimalist in all that we do. We love to open new businesses,  and are always working on making sure that when we are old we can drive nice cars and happily retire. I love to write especially in here.

We love to continuously read new books and pile up new licenses and courses under our belts. I  am an aspiring cook who wishes was 20 years younger so that I could sign up for Master Chef Junior.  I tweak recipes and reduce sugar, and substitute ingredients to make meals light but tasty.

I have battled and overcome depression, and to stay away from it, I have learned to surround myself with positive, uplifting media, loads of smoothies and gelato, and a bit of humor. And dance, lot of dancing parties at our home keep the bad days at bay.

I exercise at least 3 times a week,  and as a family we love to go on bike rides, and hike. We also love the city life and to shop and eat at good restaurants, the ones who serve lots of veggies, well cooked steak, fish, and food made from scratch. We often travel back to my beautiful Europe and across the rest of the globe when time allows us to.

I am a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  Here I share what makes us happy, and what we have found that works in our lives, and what we keep on learning as we journey along in life. Happy reading!
